Football-- the ultimate sport. No form of athletic competition requires more training, dedication and risk. But that hasn't prevented thousands of men and women across the country from pursuing their passion.

In THE FOOTBALL DOCUMENTARY (working title) Hoplite Pictures explores the subculture of Minor League Football in Southern California and across the United States. We'll follow two teams in particular: the Lions of Long Beach, California and the Blackhawks of Inglewood, California as they devote their time and energy to the pursuit of competitive excellence and the glory of victory.

THE FOOTBALL DOCUMENTARY will provide an exclusive inside look at the lives and experiences of the players through insightful interviews and their efforts on the field with an "inside the helmet" point of view.

Principal photography began on February 26, and will continue through 2006.
